Question

How to reduce Memory Usage in a file?

asd2018630

Dear all Figma users,

I’ve been running into an issue where Figma keeps telling me to reduce memory usage (like in the attached photo 1). Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

Here’s some info about my file :

  • Pages: I have 33 pages, with around 20 dedicated to the system UI and function interpretation (see attached photo 2), and about 10 pages for other discussion data (which have very little content).

  • Components: There are 160 components, including page contents, tables, and select menus. I’ve already published it and “moved source components to another file”, hoping it would fix the problem, but it didn’t.

Has anyone managed to solve this before? I’d love to hear your suggestions. I really appreciate any help you can offer!

I’m considering a few options to try and fix it:

  1. Reduce the number of pages by combining some function interpretations into a single page.

  2. Reduce the number of instances of my components, perhaps by breaking the connection in some instances.

Thanks in advanced.
