Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to Figma, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. However, I’ve run into an issue with the hover interaction. I've used it throughout my project without any problems, but now, any new components I create with a hover state are flickering when hovered over. It's confusing because the same interaction has worked fine until now. Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it? I'd really appreciate any help! (Attaching a gif for better understanding)
Hi there!
Would you be able to share a screenshot of the prototype interaction settings for the component that’s flickering? That might help identify what’s going wrong.
Hi! I’ve attached the settings for the component below. What’s confusing is that I’ve been using the same settings for all components with the hover feature throughout the project, and they’ve worked fine—until now. Suddenly, any new components I create start flickering on hover, while the older ones still work perfectly. Not sure what changed! Many thanks!

Thanks for sharing the screenshots. It looks like the hover variant has a prototype connection that triggers another hover interaction. When it switches back to default, the hover is triggered again, causing a flickering loop.
Try removing the connection from the hover variant back to the default state. The hover effect will still work without it.
Hope it helps!
Thank you so much! That worked perfectly. I’ve been trying to fix this all day, I really appreciate the help!
Glad to hear that!
