Hiding a mode in the variable table from publishing

Can you hide an entire mode column in the variables table from publishing? we have a theme that is not ready to be release but are working on it and don’t want to have designers accessing it yet.

    +1, there’s currently no way to do this. We want to do a limited release of a dark mode, but there’s no way to control who can see it
