Hi, since a couple of weeks Figma is not working properly, it’s too slow, every click is painfully slow, and it happens all over my team worldwide, on Mac iOS or in windows, VPN or no VPN, we deleted cache and Desktop profiles as indicated here in the forums and still too slow, please advise.

  • Could you please confirm whether this is occurring in both the web browser and the desktop app?

  • Please check and confirm if you see the same problem in any other browsers you have on your computer?

  • Is this just happening for some files, for all existing files or for new files created in Drafts?

  • Could you please make sure that your device is updated to the latest OS version and that your graphics driver is updated to the latest version? If your hardware has multiple graphics cards, please make sure that all graphics cards are updated.

  • If you go to https://webglreport.com/ in a supported browser does it show you have webGL enabled? Are you able to run a webGL heavy site like WebGL Aquarium ?


Also, please note that Figma is a browser-based app, which means it’s subjected to a 2GB available memory limit that applies to each browser tab, including those in our Desktop App.

When loading or editing Figma files nears or exceeds this memory limit, it might cause performance issues like long loading times.

Our Help Center article has more information on how to Reduce memory usage in files to avoid hitting this limit again.

When you contact our support team, please include the following information. This will help us assist you more effectively.



  • Make sure to use your Figma account Email.

  • Please make a video showing the slowness you’re seeing then save and send over your Desktop App debug info file or Exported console logs.

  • If this is specific to a file or only certain files, please add support-share@figma.com as an Editor to one of the affected file and any related libraries (this won’t affect your billing at all) and send those direct links

  • Please let our support team know what troubleshooting steps you did.

Thank you for you answer, the issue is at the Desktop app, and it doesn’t happen with any specific folder or file, it happens all over, the search, selecting anything, any single click takes forever… on web it works better but the app… and am super up to date with the app, so not sure why is this happening, it happens at my home, at my joe, and all my team members have the same issue.

Same problem… here, happened on desktop/web, ie/ff/chrome/safari/opera/chromium, mac/win/linux

I’ve been experiencing persistent issues with file exporting and glitches during the design process. For the past three days, exporting a single file, especially PDFs, has been incredibly slow. Sometimes, the software becomes unclickable and stops responding, as shown in the attached screenshot. I’ve tried using a Mac, but I’m facing similar problems, particularly after the AI features were added.

  • Browser: Force-quit your current session and try opening Figma in a new browser window.

  • Clear the app or browser cache.
