[Figma Sites] Linking pages via Figma Make component

I’m having an issue in Figma Sites where I’ve made a custom nav bar with figma make and it works as I intended except for the fact that I can’t actually link to the pages on my site. I only have three buttons “Work”, “About”, & “Contact” and I’d like to functionality to work like so.

  • When the "Work" button is pressed it automatically goes to the page titled "Home".
  • When the "About" button is clicked it automatically goes to the page titled "/about"
  • When the "Contact" button is clicked it automatically scrolls to the component labeled "Footer 1"

I’ve had mixed success with the first and last item. Essentially it defaults to the “scroll-to” interaction but only works on the desktop portion of my Home page. When the About button is clicked I either get a black screen or a “Not Found Error Page”.

If anyone has insights on how I might achieve what I’m looking for I’d really appreciate it! The base code for the nav bar without the above linking interactions is attached.

I’m having the exact same issue! Same project, same menu items in nav bar. Have you had any luck, @rtwill06 with solving your navigation issue? I’ve built the nav bar with all 3 tools —  manually in Figma Design and used the AI feature in Figma Make AND Figma Sites. I’ve checked the code for the menu links, confirmed they point to their respective pages (eg. Contact link goes to /contact page), but when tested in Preview mode, nothing happens (the link does not navigate, but just stays on the current page). If you’ve figured out a successful solution, please update here! Thanks!

@Steved1 No luck as of yet. I've combed through the code and tried every which way of redirecting to the pages. As of right now clicking the links in the nav bar just reloads the page.

I'm in the process of finalizing my portfolio so my next test was going to be to try and link the nav buttons to the live published webpages using the urls. I'll update this post if that works! Otherwise I'll just have to dumb down the nav until Figma updates the features :/
