I recently upgraded my plan to Pro. I tried adding a few of my team to a project, but I’ve been asked to pay for a seat before they can edit the file I created. Is this how the pro plan works?

Yes. You need to pay for every full/dev/collab seat in the team. 1 team member = 1 seat.
