Figma Plugin Approval Timeline – How long does review usually take?

Hi everyone,

I recently submitted my Figma plugin “Designer/Developer Toolkit” for review and wanted to ask about typical approval timelines.

It’s a productivity-focused plugin that helps with:

  • Structured layout generation
  • Design consistency
  • Reducing repetitive manual work
  • Bridging design → development workflows

The plugin was submitted around ~2–3 weeks ago (on March 19th), and I can see it’s still under review.

Would appreciate insights on:

  • Typical approval time (days / weeks?)
  • Whether delays are common
  • If there’s anything I should double-check while waiting

Thanks

Hey @Георги, thank you for submitting your plugin, and for sharing those details.

I can see that your plugin is still in the review queue. The team is currently handling a high volume of submissions, which can lead to longer-than-usual review times, so delays like this can happen.

At the moment, I’m not able to provide a specific timeframe or your position in the queue, but I can confirm that your submission is in line and will be reviewed. Once it’s picked up, you’ll hear back either with approval or with feedback from the team.

In the meantime, there’s nothing additional you need to do.

Thank you for your patience while we work through the queue, and we really appreciate you building for the Figma community!

Hire more people to review plugins? Having people wait a month for plugin review is what kills products like Figma.

Hey @corysimmons, the team’s been dealing with a pretty high volume of submissions lately, which is what’s causing the delays. That said, they know month-long waits aren’t a great experience, and it’s something being taken seriously. They’re already working on improvements to help reduce these delays.

In the meantime, the community team is doing what we can to flag and escalate urgent cases where possible.

Really appreciate you calling this out!
