Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is doing good. Just used Figma make which is awsme. Do any one have idea about the limitation in Figma make prompt. Number of usage.

I’ve created a Figma Make file which has over 900 prompts BUT the context is now too broad and it starts to hallucinate a lot and not follow the prompt correctly.. It's like the project needs to be put into production now for it to reset the context again.

I’d recommend - setting the foundations of the site.
Duplicate the file and then work on features separately.
Or try and release it and connect the new Figma Make file to Github (which I’m still working out how to do).

Hi there,

Glad to hear you're enjoying Figma Make! Regarding your question about usage limits:

While Figma Make is in beta, it's included at no extra cost for users with a Full seat on paid plans. There are usage limits in place, but these are subject to change as the beta progresses. If you reach your usage limit we will let you know in the product once you’ve exceeded it, including information on when your limit will reset.

Once Figma Make is generally available, you will be able to purchase access to higher limits.

Hope that helps!

im also trying to figure out how to connect figma make to github

I have to say, Figma Make is completely useless for now. Remove the limits and it’s has a lot of possibilities. Until then: DON’T BUY!

Figma Make is pretty awesome, but unfortunately the limit is a killer. Can’t progress anymore and it has put me in a blocked position for the coming 2 weeks. I understand there should be a limit and that this is still a work in progress thing. Just saying that you might not want to impose a full block, but always give the user an option.

I have big concerns over the cost of prompt design/engineering with Figma Make. Our team is starting to use it and explore what’s possible.

But in order to not hallucinate, and build effectively it takes a LOT of prompts, back and forth, and selecting areas within the UI and trying to just make those micro changes, etc. Will micro changes also count toward the tally the same as a really long prompt?

I’ve already gotten a warning popup from Figma that I’ve hit my storage limit. This is one the very first project I’ve created. Will I have to wait until another billing cycle before I can use this AI feature again? That will grind our workflow to a halt.

It’s great that in BETA there’s no cost, but I’m extremely worried that in order to use the tool effectively and also leverage AI (which all designers are being encouraged / forced in some companies to do) we will just keep hitting limits and being asked to pay more and more and more.

What if we have to revert changes, do those prompts get subtracted from the total? Is the limit going to be monthly, annually, or per project? What if we can’t put paragraphs into a prompt because it won’t build a good prototype? Forcing us to do lots more individual prompts instead which will hit our limits faster.

I’m worried that with this new functionality we will be negatively penalized for being thorough and basically charged for our ‘time’ using the product. That’s like cell phones and texting from 20 years ago where you only had so many minutes or texts you could send before you were charged for each one and then the costs became huge! We shouldn’t penalize designers for wanting to design, even lots and lots of things. And to know we are getting it right with the tools we use. That will be hugely detrimental to our field and the craft of design.

Hi @Celine_
I just got a message, that I have reached prompt limit. I will be renewed on October 1.
I have an Organization plan.
I’d like to buy more prompts - how to do it?

hi,
did you solve this challenge? Is it possible to buy more prompts from Figma?
I run into the same problem just recently. Looking for a solution.
Thanks in advance.

hi @Marc Emil Domar ,

No, I didn’t. I cancelled my subscription 90 minutes after subscribing. And you can’t buy more credits - which is the only thing that makes sense - as you would be using 200 USD a day fixing bugs ;)

Hey @Konstancja , thanks for flagging it! I’m not sure if your case is connected, but there was an issue that occurred yesterday. If you’re on Full seats, you should not be seeing the message: “You’ve reached your current limit. Your credits will reset on xxx.”
Our engineers were aware of the problem and have already released a fix. Please refresh Figma and try again to ensure you’re on the updated version.
If you’re still seeing the message and would like our team to take a closer look at your account, please submit a report.

On your question about buying more prompts: later this year we plan to introduce the option to purchase additional AI credits for more flexibility. In the meantime, you can find more details in our Help Center article:  How AI credits work

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this caused, and thank you for your patience!
