Is the copy Figma Make preview as design layers feature only available on all paid the $20/mo Full seat plan? Or would I still get it If I get the $5/mo collab seat plan?

Hey ​@Oschof, thanks for reaching out!

Copying a Figma Make preview as design layers comes down to seat type, not just being on a paid plan. It's included with a Full seat, a Collab seat won't unlock it.

A Full seat gives full access to every Figma product, including Figma Make, Figma Design, Dev Mode, Figma Draw, Figma Slides, and FigJam. 

A Collab seat is built around Figma Slides and FigJam collaboration, with view-and-comment access in Figma Design. 

You can still open Figma Make with a  Collab seat, but only in your personal drafts. Creating files in team folders, sharing them, and copying previews out as design layers all require a Full seat.

 

If your team's currently on the free Starter plan, the same rule carries over once you're ready to upgrade. Anyone with edit access on the team can click the Free badge next to the team name in the sidebar to start the upgrade to Professional plan. You'll choose seat types for team members as part of that same flow, so that's where you'd assign a Full seat to whoever needs this.
