Figma Make and Library Usage

I'm currently experimenting with our design system library file. Whenever I select a library in Figma, the generated global CSS changes. However, when I add our library, the generated global CSS doesn't reflect our color variables, typography styles, or effects defined in Figma.

How can I generate a proper global CSS that accurately uses the color variables, font styles, and effects from our actual Figma library?

Same request here, it’s not possible today to create a prototype using real styles and components.

Plus one.

In our case it is likely because the Library is quite large and complex, but it would be cool to understand how you can force Figma Make to use nothing but the giving elements and colors.

I never see the option to “Export for Make” from our published design library, so I can’t get our styles or anything else into Make.

Here’s a fun little thing that I’ve learned:

When you ask how FM references your library components or styles - it says: “No, I do not take the src/imports directly from the "attached library" ("Library Name") because I cannot "see" or browse inside that Figma library file.”

Which is making me question how effective or efficient is the attaching design systems library to Make when it doesn’t even can’t observe.
