Added the text variables in another file (which was working fine before) along with the text styles (which was already there) now that the file is also lagging.

Thanks for the post. Could you try some troubleshooting tips to see if the issue will be fixed? Here are the tips:
- Close any Figma tabs you’re not using
- Browser: Force-quit and open Figma in a new browser window.
- Desktop App: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.
- Clear desktop app cache →
