Figma Education plan — student from Russia

I'm a design student in Russia IT TOP and would like to apply for the Figma Education plan. I know Figma doesn't currently offer paid plan upgrades to new customers in Russia, but I wanted to check if student verification is handled differently or if there's any exception process.

I can provide my student ID and a link to my college's website as proof of enrollment.

Could you let me know if this is possible, and what the next steps would be?

      Figma for Education is currently only available in select regions and may not be accessible everywhere. Applications from your current location aren't eligible for the Education plan, so we aren't able to offer an exception through the verification process. Thanks for checking with us!

      I'm a Higher Ed student at an art college in Bryansk, Russia, trying to apply for the Figma Education plan.

       

      On the application form, the Country field does not show "Russia" or "Russian Federation" as an option. I've already tried:

      - A private/incognito browser window

      - Disabling Google Translate

       

      The issue still persists in both cases.

       

      Is Russia currently excluded from the Education program, or is this a bug? If excluded, is there any alternative way for a verified Russian student to apply?

      Hello ​@ann838392993 — thanks for flagging this, and for noting what you'd already ruled out.

      The missing country option isn't a bug. Figma for Education is currently available only in select regions, and when a region isn't listed in the application form, it isn't eligible at this time. Since another student asked the same thing just before you, I've merged your post into that thread. You'll find the full response marked as the best answer above.

      Eligibility is tied to region — if that changes, it would appear in the application form directly. There isn’t an alternative way to verify in the meantime.
