Figma hit my account with a massive, unexpected charge of $379 USD for AI credits and automatic features that I never consciously authorized or used.
When I contacted support, after days of back-and-forth, they offered a "maximum exception" of only $80 USD, demanding that I cancel my account and subscription just to get that small fraction back. They flatly refused to refund the remaining $299 USD, claiming it was "consumed" under their pay-as-you-go system.
Getting billed almost $400 USD without clear consent feels like a textbook dark pattern. Keeping most of my money for automated AI credits I never intended to buy is completely unfair. Watch out for their automated billing trap
