Hi, If I upgrade from my current free account to Figma Pro, will I get instant access to Figma AI?

Hi, If I upgrade to a Pro account from my free account, will I get instant access to the new Figma AI tool?

Hey @leon2400, thanks for reaching out and for your interest in Figma AI features!

You’re right — AI features are available on paid plans. If you're on the Starter plan or using Figma for Education, they are not accessible at this time. There are a few other exceptions too — this article breaks it all down: Why don’t I have access to AI features?

Hope this gets you where you need to be, and let me know if you have any other questions.

@Tom Reem Thanks for the help. So if I upgrade, do I get Figma AI access immediately? Or is it still in beta and only available to certain Pro users?

Hey @leon2400 — yes, you’re correct. 🙏🏻 You’ll have access to Figma AI after upgrading, as long as your organization hasn’t opted out, and it’s not a Figma for Education or Figma for Government account.

To make sure we’re on the same page — are there any specific Figma AI features you’re looking to use? For the full list of available features and where they’re supported, check out this article: Available AI features and tools.

Hope this helps make things a bit clearer! Let me know if any other questions come up.

@Tom Reem I’m looking to type in a prompt and generate app screens. I’m also looking to upload/attach other app screenshots for style inspiration when generating new screens using prompts. Are these AI capabilities currently active in Pro accounts?

@Tom Reem I just reread the link you sent and it looks like Figma Make is what I am interested in. Would I have instant access to this is if I upgrade to Pro?

Hey @leon2400 — yep, what you’re describing with prompt and generating is Figma Make. And yes, it is available to Full seats on all paid plans, so if you upgrade to a paid Professional account, you’ll be all set with access. 💯

Let me know if anything else comes up a long the way.
