Eyedropper tool keeps showing up within color picker when hovering previously used colors.

Hello,
In the color picker and with the eyedropper tool disabled, when I hover the rows of previously used colors, I don’t get the tooltip with the hex value of the color I am about to select. Instead, I get the eyedropper! I remember only a few days ago there was a tooltip there and it was very useful before any selection - the eyedropper doesn’t help at all, it’s like forcing me to choose based on visuals only. I couldn’t find any setting that could possibly have affected this. Any ideas?
