Hello everyone,

I want to update my portfolio and that's where Figma Slides comes in. My thoughts are to recreate my new portfolio in the tool. So far I've always used Indesign, but I find it too static. Slides gives me a bigger playground and I think the animation feature is great.

My question now is, if I create a presentation with small animations in Slides, are these also adopted when exporting as a PDF and if not, is the standard state displayed in the PDF or how does it behave?
I can export an interactive PDF in Indesign. I can then integrate smaller animations such as hover on the button etc. there. What about Figma Slides, as I cannot choose between PDF and interactive PDF when exporting and I would like to keep the file size small.

I look forward to your feedback.

Hi @hei kaspar, thanks for reaching out!

We’re excited to hear that you wish to use Figma Slides for your Portfolio. The capability to export slides with animations isn’t available natively, but there are plugins in the community that may be able to help you achieve it.
