Educational & Professional Plans

this worked for me, i selected the education section when i was told to check out and it worked

Hi there. I got an email with a notification with the following:
You have 3 days left on the Education plan
The teams you own will become view-only for all members, and you’ll lose edit access to other teams once your plan expires.

I don’t want to lose my file, so I moved every project to draft, I’d like to know if that would be fine or if I will need to create a new free starter plan and then move my project there. I don’t have a team it’s just me.

When verifying your EDU subscription you had to select a team to upgrade to allow you to access Pro features.

Your EDU plan is associated with “OLASUBOMI WORK”, so as long as you move the projects and files within this team into your drafts, you should be all set!

Thank you for the clarification. Once all my projects and files are moved into my drafts, I should be able to edit old files and projects and create new ones, even after my EDU subscription has expired

Hi @ksn. Just a quick question, can I get the professional version even if I’m not a student nor educator? I know it may be a silly question, but when I went to view the professional plan, the page was speaking a lot about students and educators. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

@Yale Hey! Not a silly question at all – you can definitely do so. If you clicked the link in one of my previous responses, it would take you directly to our education subscription info page, so I can understand the confusion.

If you look at this specific page, you should see our plans lined up, with professional included. You should be able to hit “select plan” on the Professional column to move forward with upgrading.

An education plan is essentially the same thing as a Professional plan; the only difference is that verified students/educators get Professional Plan features free for 2 years. After 2 years, verification will be required again.

Hi there! Higher up this thread samira.designworks asked about the differences between Pro and Edu licenses. I discovered this morning that I cannot have ‘pages’ in my Edu version of FigJam, so the versions are not exactly the same. Is there somewhere we can see a list of differences please? Thanks!

I am an Educator and currently have 7 interns using the free plan (which does not allow me to teach them how to create real life design systems). Today we advertised our next internship cohort (which could be as many as 50 interns).

The education form does not allow such professional training so it limits professional educators running courses outside of academia. As we offer our time for free to the interns we are not able to buy 60+ licenses and the interns (some from countries being invaded) do not have the spare money to pay for access to this level and therefore are unable to learn crucial parts of their roles.

Is there a solution?

Hello there! I just signed up for educational plan and was looking around the various capabilities… I was trying to open a website template but it asked me for a paid upgrade! Can someone confirm that to use a template into edu plan you should upgrade to a professional (paid) tier? Thank you very much in advance!
