Education Plan - Publishing Component Libraries not working?

I currently have a Figma for Education (free) account, and am having trouble publishing a component library. Whenever I try, I get a popup that says “Your plan does not support team libraries. Professional lets you share styles, components, and variables.” However, THIS PAGE and multiple others indicate that users with an education plan can sometimes publish a component library (“Education plan: Team members with can edit team permissions can publish a library.”), but doesn’t offer any info on how to reach those settings. Thank you very much for your help!

Hi @Serena6, Thank you for getting in touch about this!

It sounds like that the library file is not under the education team. Do you have any teams under the Education plan?

After your Education status is approved, in order to use your Education discount and use Figma for free, you’ll need to upgrade to the Professional plan which is free with your verified education status.

You can find instructions on how to do this in the article Verify education status - Upgrade an existing team Please make sure to use the same email address you used to verify your Education status.

After upgrading, please try publishing those components again.

I hope this helps, and please let us know if there is any misunderstanding. If anyone in our community has additional suggestions, feel free to chime in!

Thank you once again for reaching out.
