Edited Text in Component does not appear in Preview

Why does the edited text in the component not show in Preview?

I need to check the Visible Options on the right for it to appear, but if i turn it off (because i want all options to be collapsed), the edited text changes back to the Master component’s text. 

Can anyone help? Thanks!
