Did Figma change how variable collections are sorted?

Hi!

Until recently, variable collections in Figma could be manually ordered using numbers or custom prefixes. However, I’ve noticed that now they seem to be sorted only by creation date, and my previous custom order is completely gone.

On top of that, the collections I had carefully organized are now randomly shuffled, ignoring the structure I had set up.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a bug or an intentional change?
Any tips or workarounds to restore the custom order would be greatly appreciated!
