Dark mode variables not showing in prototype

Hi all. I am using the new variables modes for light and dark mode. When I switch my designs to dark mode, it all looks great until I click on the prototype present. On the prototype, some of my components are showing up as still in light mode even though on the figma file they appear to be in dark mode.
