Copying as png .. pasting doesn't work anymore

When I copy any Figma frame using Cmd+Shift+C (copy as png), it gives a message “copied as png” but when I try to paste it in google slides, it doesn’t work. As if there’s nothing in the clipboard.
Tried clearing the clipboard still doesn’t work.

I’m having the same problem. Figma desktop version 125.10.8 on MacOS 15.6.1.

Can’t paste into an email in outlook web. But can paste into Photoshop.

Also, the pasted PNG has 18px of additional white space on the left/right which does not exist in the source frame in Figma.

Same happened to me. I use three MacBooks, and currently it only happens to one of them.

Same issue happens to me every now and then, and it happens now.
Trying to do it from the browser didn’t help in my case

Hey everyone -- I had the same issue exactly as everyone here is describing, and I managed to fix it. In my native Mac screenshot function, I had changed the settings so rather than saving to the Desktop, a screenshot saves to the Clipboard. I just switched it back to its default behavior, i.e. saving to the Desktop, and it started working again.

For the Figma Community, hopes this helps some of you!

For the Figma Support team, I hope you can look into this now that I’ve pinpointed a potential related behavior, as some users may want to keep their screenshot preferences as clipboard.
