For the purpose of iteration and seeing changes I did overtime for a project, I like to duplicate a page every time I improved a lot of items. However, I noticed this bug where some components would be treated as new components on the new page, and some remain as an instance from the old page!! This is driving me crazy because  it’s really messing with everything I’ve created. 

I’ve read an old post saying that I can work around it by copying everything to a new file, then post it back to the old file on a new page. This didn’t do anything… Even in the new file, there would still be instances that take me back to the original component of the old FILE!! Is this how it’s supposed to be or am I doing something wrong? It would ask me to restore the component too. How do you all keep copies of your iterated works for record keeping? Do you just start a new file when you iterate and improve something?
