component buttons with variables and interactions mimicking issue

Hi

Multiple component buttons with variables and interactions are mimicking what the other does unexpectedly. I have several pages each with a question and a selection of answers. I’ve used variables to help with the interactions and it was working fine. But suddenly once answer A for example is picked, it's already highlighted as if its been selected on the other page. 

I’ve looked into issues, so I’ve given them different names but the issue still persists. 

The one thing that is connecting them all is the use of variables applied when using interactions. I was under the impression the same variable sets could be used on multiple buttons? But should I have different one. So page one would have Question 1 set, etc.
