I opened up Figma this morning and my canvas constantly moves to the right whenever my mouse is inside the canvas frame.

I checked previous topics hoping to find a solution but only topics regarding this bug are from 2022 which had no real solution to this problem.

  1. I have unplugged my keyboard and mouse.
  2. I restarted my PC.
  3. I closed and opened Figma App.
  4. Tried it on Figma browser.

Even after doing the 4 things listed, the issue keeps happening.

Here is a Loom Video showing what happens

If anyone has any ideas/suggestions/solutions, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you!

Hey there! Thanks for reaching out, sorry to hear about that! This seems odd. Is this happening in both the Desktop App and Browser?

Can you try the following:

  • Close the Figma Desktop App completely then reopen it.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of the Desktop App installed.
  • Try clearing the Desktop App Cache:

Here’s how to clear the Desktop App cache on Windows:

  1. Close the Desktop app.
  2. Open the Start menu, and paste in this followed by enter: %APPDATA%\\\\Figma
  3. In the window that opens, delete the Desktop and DesktopProfile folders if they exist.
  4. Launch the Desktop app again.

Here’s how to clear the Desktop App cache on a Mac:

  1. Quit the Figma Desktop App.
  2. Open Terminal.app and enter the following command: rm -rf "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma/Desktop"
  3. Try opening the Desktop App again.
