The client has shared a file with me and given me “can edit” rights, but I cant edit. I am getting this error “An Admin needs to update your seat so you can edit file”. Any ideas? Thanks
 

 

Hi ​@amy.lepage! Can you confirm that you’ve checked in with your Figma admins to make sure you’ve been assigned the correct seat?

It’s possible that you only have a "view" seat only on the organization’s level. If that’s the case, your Figma admins will need to update your seat in order for you to edit files you have been invited to. I’d recommend reaching out to them to verify. If you’ve already done this, let me know.
