I’m trying to understand the current plugin monetization requirements for Figma Community.
I have two questions:
The documentation says that paid resources can only be published by “individual creators”.
Does this mean that in the final publishing step under Author (Share as), only Individual creator can be selected, and Team cannot be used for paid plugins?
If a plugin has already been published under a Team, can the publishing author later be changed to an Individual creator to enable monetization?
The documentation also mentions that creators must be “approved to sell on Community”.
How is this approval obtained currently?
Is there an application form, waitlist, onboarding process, or is it enabled automatically for eligible creators?

You may move some functionality from an already published plugin or widget behind a paywall using the Payments API. However, the plugin or widget must still contain free features in addition to paid. For more information, see the Payments API documentation.

If you want to sell plugins/widgets, you do not need approval. As long as you're in an approved country, you can set up your Stripe account. If you want to sell files, we currently are not accepting new applications, nor do we have a waitlist, the program is closed for now.

Hi @Celine_ , following up on this: I'm trying to publish a paid plugin through the desktop app and I'm stuck on the last step.
My setup: Individual creator as author, 2FA enabled, desktop app, supported payout country (Netherlands), plugin ready with the data security form completed (plugin ID 1658197370068509183). The Price field in the Publish flow is locked/disabled, and I cannot find any options to setup paymentinfo/stripe anywhere.
Where exactly do I activate paymentinfo/Stripe as a new plugin seller so the Price field unlocks? Is there a prerequisite I'm missing?
