Hey @Zabs, welcome to the Figma community! I can imagine how frustrating this must be. Let’s try a few things to troubleshoot:
- Does this happen in both the browser and desktop app?
- Have you tried clearing the cache to see if that helps?
- Since PNGs are displaying fine, it does seem related to SVGs—have there been any recent changes to how you're exporting them from Canva?
If you’re comfortable sharing the file , please send us a direct link and invite support-share@figma.com with "can edit" permissionso I can test this on my end. Users with @figma.com emails won’t count toward your billing.
If you’re not sure how to invite someone to your file, here’s a quick guide:
- Click the "Share" button in the top-right corner of the Editor.
- Enter support-share@figma.com in the text box.
- Select "can edit" as the permission level.
- Click "Send invite" and we’ll be able to investigate further.
Let me know if you have any other details that might help us figure this out!
@Gayani_S I am having the same issue. I just shared the file with the support-share email you shared.
Hey @xyt, thanks for flagging this! We've escalated this to our engineering team, and they’ve taken steps to roll back the change that seemed to be causing the issue with transparent clippings appearing black.
Could you try refreshing Figma and see if things are back to normal? Let us know if the issue persists—we want to make sure this is fully resolved for you.
Thank you,
Gayani
Hei!
I have the same problem now. Was there any solution for that?
