how long does it take to practice figma as a beginner , although  I have already have knowledge about how to use the figma app

If you already know the basics of how to use Figma (frames, shapes, tools, etc.), then moving into UI/UX practice is less about learning the app and more about building design thinking and workflows.

For most beginners, it usually takes 4–6 weeks of consistent practice (around 1–2 hours a day) to start creating simple portfolio projects like landing pages, mobile app screens, or dashboards. What matters is practicing under real scenarios, not just clicking around the tool.

When I was at this stage, I found that structured practice tests were a huge help. They gave me timed challenges, detailed explanations, and covered all the fundamentals—wireframing, prototyping, design systems, and handoff. That way, I wasn’t just “using Figma,” but actually training myself to think like a designer.

If you want a guided path, here’s the resource I personally used:

Figma UI/UX Design Certification Practice Test (Udemy)

Pair this kind of structured practice with small self-projects for your portfolio, and you’ll see progress much faster.
