There’s a font called “System font” within Figma.
I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Does any of you know the company who created it.
Is it available anywhere else ?

Hi @Frederic_Fornini

Totally understand how this could be confusing.
I did a quick test on my end — when filtering fonts by “Google Fonts” or “Installed by you,” “System Font” didn’t show up in either category.

I also checked internally, and it turns out the appearance of “System Font” in Figma is actually a long-standing bug. I’ve added your post to our existing report to help prioritize the issue.

In this case, “System Font” refers to San Francisco, which is a font created by Apple and used across their devices and systems.

For now, we recommend downloading and using the San Francisco font directly as an alternative: Fonts – Apple Developer

Thanks for bringing this up!

@Junko3, thank you for your kind reply.
My belief is that it depends. For me the font called “system font” is a variable font.

A quick example here.
It’s not in the list of fonts installed by me,
I’ve made a thorough search.
It’s too bad cause I would love to use it for a specific project i’m working on.

Regards

Hi,
If you're open to it, could you let us know which operating system you're using? I’ll pass your feedback along to our team for review.

Thanks!
