Feature Request - Usability Testing Mode in Prototype Presentation.

What it is: In Prototype Presentation, add a feature - “Usability Testing Mode” that stops the cursor from changing to a pointing hand when users hover over buttons.

Why: Currently, in prototype mode, when setting the device to “None”, “MacBook Air”, “MacBook Pro 14”, “MacBook Pro 16”, “Custom Size”, and “Presentation”, the cursor will change to a pointing hand when hovering over buttons. This makes sense since most websites and desktop software change the cursor to a pointing hand when it’s close to a clickable button/UI. However, there is a need for a “Usability Testing” mode that disables this cursor behavior due to the following two groups of people:

  1. UX Researchers who need to do User Testing on prototypes and don’t want this cursor behavior to spoil clickable areas. Solely disabling hotspots in prototypes is just not enough!

  2. UX Designers who work at a desktop software company where the software itself doesn’t change the cursor to a pointing hand when hovering a clickable button/UI. Just to name a few: Adobe, Apple, Figma, Microsoft, etc. Their software typically has numerous clickable UIs on the workspace.
