Hi all,

I’m still wondering when is the best time to create components in Figma. Now I have made a full drag and drop animation of basically the same frames copy pasted on multiple screens. Is there a quick way (plugin for instance) to detect all these copies and rename them as instances of the same component ?

I have a better version of this component on other frames, so the best thing would even be to swap these frames by an already created component. But just any technique that would help me not do everything from scratch would be nice : )

Plugin “Master” does this with objects but you have to select each duplicate. Once you do that, you can run the plugin using ”create component from objects”.
