Installed fonts not working on Windows desktop app or browser

Jadeon_Abt

I recently reinstalled Windows after upgrading my motherboard.

I installed Figma and went to work on a project only to find out that my fonts weren’t being detected.

I use Fontbase to sync fonts between my Mac and my Windows computer via a Google Drive folder. And it works fine with all my other software, tested in Photoshop and Illustrator.

I’ve tried the following -
Using Browser with Figma agent, not working.
Restarting Figma, not working.
Restarting computer, not working.
Reinstalling Figma, not working.

I have no idea what else to do and this is incredibly frustrating when I have deadlines approaching quickly. I need a fix ASAP.

Thanks for clarifying! This looks odd, if it it used to work a week ago. Not sure what root cause is here.
Can you also try to uninstall the font helper and then reinstall it to see if that helps?

If this doesn’t help, please reach out directly to the support by filling this form: here
Please use your Figma email account, and mention the steps you have done. Our technical quality team can investigate it further. Thank you!

Hey Jadeon,
Welcome to the community! Currently, we don’t have official support for external font managers, including FontBase.

For the best experience, we recommend directly installing your fonts. However, for more specific guidance or support related to FontBase, it would be beneficial to contact their customer service team. They can provide more detailed assistance tailored to their application.

Please see our Add a font to Figma design guide for more details about using your fonts in Figma.

I hope that helps!

Figma doesn’t have to support Fontbase, all Fontbase does is install fonts on to the machine. It was working just fine a week ago. The problem is Figma is not detecting my installed fonts. I tested this by locally installing a font manually and it still wasn’t working.
