Issue with Custom Text in Dropdown Menu Components

SAME

I created a dropdown menu in Figma. When I copied the components and opened the dropdown menu to customize the text, I noticed that the preview still showed the original component’s text. However, when I set the component to be open on the new frame, the preview displayed as expected with my customized text.

This is the main component

This is the component I copied to the frame

This is the preview effect (not the 222 I expected)

Finally, I added contents to text 111 in the main component so that the text can be changed in the design field of the copied component.

Hey @SAME - would you be able to share a copy of your file/library with us so we can try to replicate on our end (and also look at the details of your design)?

If not, that’s totally fine. If you are able to, can you please do the following:

  1. File a ticket this link: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374

  2. Share edit access to the file with support-share@figma.com – you won’t be charged for doing this. Please also include the name of this file in the body of the ticket you file.

Let me know once you’re able to do that.
