Hi, I’m learning figma for school and one of the assignments was to create prototype of an app in figma. I used smart animate to create bouncy animations, and when viewed in the interactive prototype–it renders an black fill box. any help? or is this a problem on my end.

Having the exact same problem. Try the other smart animate options like slow or gentle. Doesn’t matter what computer or browser I am using, bouncy is broken. Same in the desktop app.

Hey All, thanks for reaching out!

This is definitely not the expected behavior, so I completely understand how this must be slowing down your workflows.

Just to ensure I’m fully understanding, is this happening in all of your files or one file in particular? And is it only happening with prototypes that use a bouncy spring animation?

With a few more details, I can flag this over to our Prototyping team to try to reproduce, investigate, and work towards a solution.

Hi djv! It’s only happening in this one file in particular because this is the only file where I’m using it as a prototype, while the other file that i have are just illustration mock ups.

For the smart animations, I’m sure that its only happening with the bouncy spring animation, but it only applies for some elements like the landing page for signup/login.

I hope to hear back from you guys, thank you!

Thanks for clarifying, @dae365
