Lines appear when I use a boolean on/off toggle in a component
Hi, I hope someone can help with this issue. I have created a component card with a show/hide boolean property for the card description. But when I use the toggle lines appear instead of the text. I have tried putting the description in a nested autolayout but that produces an outline around the autolayout layer instead of the lines representing the text. This has happened before and I got around it but I can’t remember how! Thanks. Images to show the issue attached.

Hey! The lines usually only appear when you hover over hidden text in the layers panel. If they’re always visible, it could be a bug. For further investigation, a screenshot of the component’s layer structure would be helpful. I’d also suggest restarting Figma and trying a different font. There might be an issue with rendering.
Thanks Freddy
As you suggest if I quit Figma and reopen the lines disappear. However, when not hovering or selecting the layer, they remain. I find it a bit annoying to have to quit the app in order for them to disappear. Attaching a screenshot of the layer order.
Thanks for the screenshot! I can’t see anything wrong with the structure, though. My last two suggestions would be clearing the figma cache or wrapping the text in another auto layout and applying the boolean operation to the wrapper.
If none of the above works, it’s most likely a bug in my opinion.
Thanks Freddy, I tried wrapping the text layer in an autolayout and applying the boolean to that but the lines then appeared around the autolayout box. If I quit and reopen Figma they disappear, so could be the cache. I haven’t cleared it for a while.
