Nested component prototype no longer working

Hi Figma community, 

My team created a select input a few months ago with a nested dropdown component within it. This allowed for the dropdown to having a varying amount of options. We prototyped the select component to show the interaction of the select from pre-input, hover, click-in and, post-input. This was working smoothly up until a month ago. 

Now, when we try to change the amount of options or the label text in the dropdown menu, the component reverts back the default state in prototyping mode. 

Any thoughts on resolving this issue would be appreciated!
