Question

Unable to upload a video w/free student plan

Rosie1

I wanted to add a short video to a design I’m working on but am unable to. When I click ‘import image/video’ the video shows up greyed out in my files, and when I tried to drag it into Figma I got a message that I have to have a paid pro plan to add videos. I went to look at pricing to decide if it would be worth it to just upgrade to a paid plan and I noticed that the paid pro plan has a free option for students (I’m a student). I clicked on that and it gave me a message that I am currently on the free student plan so now I’m confused. If I actually have the plan that would allow me to use videos why can’t I use videos??

  1. You need to upgrade a team to Education plan.

  2. You can upload videos to files within that team. Make sure the file is in the correct team.
