How to join a library

Hi everyone,

I’m working on some designs pages that are based on a design system that another agency has created. This agency has shared the Design system Figma file with me. But in terms of library, I don’t know how to access this one. Is this something that the agency has to do, or do I need to create a duplicate of this Design System file and publish it by myself as a library? Sorry I’m not quite sure how to access libraries.

Thanks
Mercedes

Hi @Mercedes_Galvez – I think this existing topic answers your library question: https://forum.figma.com/t/sharing-library-across-organizations/44416/2

At the moment, libraries can’t be shared outside of the organization that it originates from. The agency you are working on can provide you an export they are using with the file, and you can then import and then publish the design system in your instance of Figma (like you mentioned in your post).
