"AI features aren't available" because "you're not a member" of your organization

Pilgreen_Ian

I’m a part of a large (~2,000-member) enterprise license in Figma. I was just added to Figma’s UI3 and AI beta, and I’m receiving this message when I open the Actions panel saying I’m “not a member” of my organization and therefore cannot access AI features. It isn’t saying the organization has disabled AI features, but that I’m not a part of the organization at all (which I definitely am).

I double-checked my account info, and I’m 100% a part of the organization with full design seat access.

Oddly enough, Figma Slides’ “Adjust tone” AI feature is accessible to me, but no AI features are available in my design files.

Hi there,

I think some clarifications would help explain this better.

AI features will be rolling out gradually over the next few months. Once you’re available for your plan, Organization and Enterprise admins will have the ability to turn these features on and off. Therefore, it’s possible that AI features might not be visible because an admin has disabled them. If you’re on the plan, please reach out to your admin to check the availability of AI in your Organization.

I hope this clears things up.

Thanks,
Toku

Having the same issue, despite also having full permissions in the organization!

I’m having the same issue.

Pilgreen_Ian

I just reached out to one of our enterprise admins, and he provided the following insight:

“As this is still in beta, it’s likely because these features aren’t available to us at an enterprise level just yet. I’m not sure if that’s how it works, but we also likely won’t move the entire org into a beta program. I confirmed that you have an enterprise account though, so it also sounds like they’re slowly rolling these out to users, so I would recommend keeping an eye on it.”

So idk if it’s a Figma problem or an us problem now.

HI @Pilgreen_Ian @Lindsay3 @Nick_Shutts

Thank you for flagging the issue and for your patience as we looked into correcting the messaging. As of this afternoon, the messaging you noted in the Actions panel has been corrected.

I recommend restarting the Desktop app or refreshing your browser to ensure the change is reflected. If the issue persists, please let me know!

Thanks,
Toku

Thanks for the reply!

I assume our deduction (that the Figma AI beta isn’t being rolled out to enterprise seats) is correct, and the corrected messaging conveys that.

It appears as though the message isn’t appearing at all anymore, in its previous or updated form. I’ve checked on figma.com within Chrome and on the Figma desktop app (I’m running MacOS 14.5).

I’m one of the admins on our plan, but I’m still not able to access this feature even though the Figma AI beta is toggled on in the admin settings.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. I believe the setting is visible to all users, but it’s possible that AI hasn’t been rolled out to you yet. Sorry for the confusion.

We appreciate your patience!
