Question

Color Style Not Visible in Local Styles

Sepideh_Zamani

Hi there.
The colors I created as variables in my Design System file aren’t visible in the local styles but are shown in the library. I want to add and delete colors, but I can’t!

Hello,

Created variables are shown in Local variables, not Local styles.
Click on the “sliders icon” next to Local variables to open your variables list and there you can edit them.

Hi Oussama,
I have checked the Local Variables as well, but they are not there!

Hey @Sepideh_Zamani ,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! Hmm, you should be able to see it in Local Variables as Oussama_BK explained.

As a reminder, color variables can be also found in the Libraries picker and display as squares, while color styles display as circles. You can use the search bar to find the variable by name or variable group, or open the dropdown to filter by library.

Can you share a quick video recording where you see the color style in Library, and when you clicked on Local Variables? (please include the full panel so we can check the settings). If you can’t share it there, please reach out directly to the support team: here
If you are able to, please also include the URL of your file and share edit access to the file with support-share@figma.com as an Editor. This allows the support team to look into the file directly.
