Figma agent has stopped working problem


Hi community!
I have a problem with Figma font installers,
When I install Font installers on my system and open the browser to start designing, I encounter the error ‘Figma agent has stopped working.’ As a result, I am unable to use the fonts that I installed on my system. Please guide me on how to resolve this issue.

Hi @Shahram_Karimzadeh sorry to hear this is happening! Can you make sure the Figma agent is one of the apps that automatically launches on startup. its been noted to help

I would also suggest checking any antivirus or firewalls you have enabled and make sure they are not marking or blocking the Figma agent from running.

Hey guys!

I’m experiencing the exact same issue. The Figma agent stopped working suddenly. As a result, I can’t access my installed fonts and therefore I cannot work… what a pain!

The Figma agent is running on my computer but it shows as not installed on Figma’s web app.

My OS is Windows, I’m using Chrome, and this is what I’ve tried so far:

  • Reinstalling the Figma agent
  • Updating Chrome and Adobe CC
  • Activating WebGL under Chrome flags
  • Many, many reebots in between

NOTE: the firewall seems to NOT be messing with the Figma agent.

This is very frustrating. Any help is welcome!

Sorry to see you are experiencing the issue as well. Can you ensure that you are using the latest version OS and that you are running Windows 10 or later.

Hello @Ryan_52 !

Thanks for your answer. I’m using Win 11 and my system is up to date on all fronts. Figma agent was working just fine a few days ago.

FYI I am using the desktop app to avoid this situation, but this needs fixing. Unable to spot what’s causing the issue though. Any help is welcome!

Glad to see you found a workaround of the desktop app in the meantime. I’ve tested this from my end here but are not having issues with the Figma agent. Do you have any Anti-virus software installed, maybe take a look and see if its blocking the application.

for me it is a browser-related problem, I’m using Edge, and I switched the Edge profile and found more missing fonts.
I’m also facing problems in the network tab at dev tools, so try a different browser profile or maybe a different browser, bc there might be some extension that’s blocking the figmaAgent to give fonts to figma.com.
