Show/Hide UI shortcut in ITalian keyboard not working

Hi, from the last update the Show/Hide UI shortcut is not working. The usual key for this is "", and it still shows in the Keyboard shortcut map.

In the View menu there’s a different key though “ù”. This key does not work either.

I’m on a 2022 M2 Macbook Pro running Sonoma

Anyone else having the same issue?

Hello @Victor_Rosas1, Thank you for reaching out about the shortcut on the Italian Keyboard layout. I really appreciate you sharing the screenshot.

Just to clarify, does this issue occur in the desktop app, the browser, or both?

I noticed a difference between the show/hide UI shortcut on the [Essential] tab and the Remapped shortcuts section in this article: Select keyboard layout

Could you please confirm if the usual shortcut for the show/hide UI you mentioned is the same in this article?

Additionally, it seems you also mentioned a shortcut for the pixel grid,

could you provide a quick video demonstrating how you are attempting to use this shortcut? This will help us better understand the issue visually.

I apologize for the numerous questions. I would like to test it on my end, but unfortunately, I do not have an Italian keyboard to replicate the shortcut issue.

If anyone in our community has encountered a similar shortcut issue while using an Italian keyboard on a Mac, please share your insights!

Thank you in advance for your assistance! Please let me know if I misunderstood anything. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Hi Junko3 thanks for your rapid response.

I’m encountering this issue only in desktop. When I go to the browser the shortcut (which is different "cmd+") the action works.

When I mentioned the “ù” shortcut, I referred to what I saw as the Show/Hide UI command from the View menu.

I also attempted to use the “\” shortcut but with no success (I didn’t manage to find the way to input the key in that way)

Let me know if you need any other info.

Thanks

Hi @Victor_Rosas1, Thank you for the clarification and I apologize for the delayed response.

After investigating internally, this behavior could be related to a known bug. Our engineers are already aware of the issue and are actively working on a fix.

If you are still experiencing issues, could you please try the following steps?:

  • Restart the app / Refresh
  • Ensure you have selected the correct layout that matches your system’s keyboard via the help menu.

Thank you so much for your patience as the engineering team works on resolving this!
