Why doesn’t the mouse switch to selection after using shortcut R to create a graphic? I have to press v or Esc to switch it to selection mode.

Hey Anthony, I am not able experience this issue. I’ve attached a screen recording. Could you send us a screen recording as well please?
Main menu › Preferences › Keep tool selected after use.
Uncheck this option.
