From what you’ve described, it sounds like you’re seeing a mismatch between what’s displayed on the canvas (four filled diamonds) and what’s shown in the Layers panel (four outlined diamonds), and you're unable to use expected component features like Detach Instance or Swap Instance.

Let me clarify a couple of things:
 

Component icons appear as four diamonds, while instance icons appear as a single outlined diamond in the Layers panel.
The filled vs. outlined appearance can differ between the canvas and Layers panel, but seeing four diamonds still indicates it's a component — not an instance. So this visual difference is expected and shouldn’t impact functionality.

Features like Detach Instance and Swap Components are only available on certain plans.

From your screenshot, it looks like you are on the Free Starter plan, which unfortunately doesn’t include these features.
