Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my recent experience with upgrading to Figma Make Pro and see if others have encountered the same issue.

I've been working with the free version of Figma Make for the past few days and have been absolutely loving the workflow. It felt like a game-changer, so I was excited to go Pro to speed things up and remove the free user limits.

However, my excitement quickly turned to confusion. The very first time I tried to use a prompt to change some text after paying for the Pro subscription, I was hit with the message: "Limit reached for this feature until Aug 5, 2025."

This has left me wondering: what are the actual benefits of the Pro plan regarding usage limits? I upgraded with the assumption that 'Pro' meant removing the restrictive daily limits that you encounter on the free plan. If the paid plan is still heavily capped (e.g., just a handful of prompts a day), it's hard to understand the value for the price. This wasn't made clear at all during the upgrade process.

My question to the community and the Figma team is:

  • Has anyone else experienced this?

  • Is this a bug, or is the Pro plan genuinely this limited?

I'd appreciate any clarification, because right now I feel like I've paid for a promise that wasn't delivered.

Am currently experiencing the same thing. Who is is with me. I upgraded to the professional plan of the figma make, so I will be able to add a custom domain, yet up till now, If I try to add the custom domain, they still show me that am still using the starter plan. Please I need help.

Experiencing the same issue too. Please send help.

@Lars Dalsgaard , thanks for your feedback!
Just to clarify: if the file you’re working on is in a Professional team and you have a Full seat, you’ll receive 3,000 AI credits per month. At the moment, we’re not strictly enforcing these limits for Full seat users.

If you’re on a Starter plan or using a non-Full seat, you’ll see an in-product message once you’ve reached your AI credit limit, along with the date it will reset.
At the moment, there's no way to view your exact AI credit usage beyond that message. That said, we’ve put together some best practices for Figma Make, designed to help you get the most out of each prompt. When your limit refreshes, feel free to try them out.

Please also note, later this year, we plan to introduce the option to purchase additional AI credits, giving you more flexibility.
For more details, I’d recommend you to check out our Help Center article: How AI credits work

Am currently experiencing the same thing. Who is is with me. I upgraded to the professional plan of the figma make, so I will be able to add a custom domain, yet up till now, If I try to add the custom domain, they still show me that am still using the starter plan. Please I need help.

@Alphalex Consulting, thanks for raising this! On the Professional plan you should be able to add up to 10 custom domains (see our guide here). If you’re still seeing “Starter” when trying to add one, it may be that you’re logged into a different account or team than the one upgraded. Could you double-check you’re in the correct workspace where the Professional subscription is active?

If everything looks correct and the issue persists, I’d recommend submitting a bug report so our support team can take a closer look. Please use your Figma email when filling out the form, and if possible, include a screenshot or short video of the issue so the team can investigate more effectively.

Thanks again for flagging these issues and feedback, we appreciate your patience as we work to improve the experience!
