Unable to Activate AI Features on My Figma Account

I’m unable to activate or access the AI features. I’ve checked for updates and tried basic troubleshooting steps, but the feature still doesn’t appear to be available for me.

Could you please help me resolve this issue or let me know if there are any requirements I might be missing?

Hey there! Thank you for your interest on Figma AI!

If you’re not seeing beta AI features, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

  • You're not in the AI beta yet: Figma AI features are currently in beta and will become available over time. All paid plans will have AI features available to them by the end of April 2025.
  • You're on the Starter plan: Figma AI features are available to paid plans.
  • Your team or organization is opted out: Your admin has already chosen to opt your team or organization out of AI features. Please contact your admin if you have questions.
  • You're on a Figma for Education plan: AI features and settings will not be enabled for users who are a part of an Education plan. If you have any questions, please contact education@figma.com.
  • You're using Figma for Government: Organizations using Figma for Government will not have AI features or settings enabled.

I noticed your account is on an Education plan. As mentioned, AI features aren’t available for users on this plan.

I joined a company that utilizes Figma. Upon opening the "Operations" panel, I received a notification stating that "I'm not a member of my organization," which prevented me from accessing the AI functionality. This issue does not imply that the organization has disabled the AI feature; rather, it suggests that I am not recognized as a member of the organization, despite being certain of my membership. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter.

Hey ​@haiwaidesign , I see in the backend that you are a guest within this Organization plan which restricts your access to certain features, including AI functionalities.

To clarify, AI features in Figma are only available to users who are full members of the Organization with a paid Figma Design seat.

Since you are a guest, you do not have the permissions to use the AI features.To resolve it, you’ll need to be upgraded from a guest to a full member within the organization. This can done by an admin of the organization. Once this change is made, you should have access to the AI features. Hope this clarifies!

Hi, even if you are having a new type of seat selected in your screenshot, you are still a guest in the Organization. I confirm that in this case, you can’t have access to the AI features.

The admin of an Organization has to add you as a member of the Organization. To do this, members have an email address that matches any of the organization's verified domains
