Keep variables window open

Would you be able to share a screen recording of what’s happening? That will help me better understand the behaviour and see if I can replicate it on my end. Also, could you let me know if this happens in the browser, the desktop app, or both?

Here is a link to a screen recording. You can see at first here it actually works, but then starts closing once I interact with the board.

I only really use the desktop app on Mac. Also attached the spec for reference.

I have the same problem. It kind of breaks the flow when I cant dock the local variables somewhere. Also other interactions, like the colorpicker close the local variables window. And I cant move it outside of the figma app either. So atm Im reopening it all the time. 
So either allow us to dock it, or give us a keyboard shortcut minimum, please.

You’ve mentioned that the issue is happening in the Figma desktop app, so let’s try a couple of steps to see if we can get this sorted for you:

1. First, please force quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.
2. If the issue persists, try clearing the app cache by following these steps: Clear Figma desktop app cache.

Just to get a clearer picture, could you share a screen recording when you have a moment? Also, is this happening in the desktop app, the browser, or both?

I’ve had another user report this issue in the desktop app, so I’ve suggested force quitting and restarting the app. If that doesn’t help, clearing the cache might be worth a try—here’s how: Clear Figma desktop app cache.
