I’ve been making use of the new variable places to set up a robust typography system, however adjusting say the font size won’t update the layers that use it unless you do any change in that layer’s hierarchy which then prompts an update of the layer. This is quite annoying for the initial setup of new variables, but also sometimes the variable modes don’t change things either. It sounds to me like text layers aren’t on the list of things to automatically update when a variable gets changed.
This is a pretty big issue with using these variables, so hopefully this gets looked at.
