Question

Figma Interactions has been buggy lately

ssnoww

I have these tabs with ‘Change to’ on-click interaction. you know, it’s just a common tab-switch interaction.

But the second tab’s first field’s label shows the first tab’s first field’s label. rather than showing the second tab’s first field’s label.

lol, my English is broken. But you’ll get it by looking at the GIF.

what the heck is this bug, and how can I do to fix it? I have tried many things, but doesn’t work.

Looks weird! Can you share the file link with access to support-share@figma.com? It won’t affect your billing. I hope I can investigate it further.

Hi there,

Thanks for that! I could test it.

Could you try using the “Regenerate all instances (slow)” option through Quick Actions (Mac: ⌘ Command+ / or ⌘ Command+P, Windows: Control + / or Control+P)? This will essentially reset the instances.

Once that’s done, please reload the tab and check the prototype.

If the issue persists, try selecting “Repair component connections” and reload the tab again.

This worked for me, but let me know if it doesn’t solve the problem, and I’ll open a support case for you!

Thanks,
Toku

Can you explain to me about "Regenerate all instances (slow)
what is that do? and when should I use it?

I am a bit scared to use it on the main file because it’s a big file with many prototype lines. will it cause other issues?

thank you.

I completely understand your concern and asked internally before. The “Regenerate all instances (slow)” function essentially clicks through all instances again. If you’re experiencing any display or alignment issues, this might help resolve them. It shouldn’t cause any other problems—it’s just like refreshing all instances on the backend.

I hope this helps!

I just tried both ways on the main file, and it kinda works (?).

When I play the prototype and go to the page, it still has the same problem, but when I reload the tab, it fixes the issue, BUT when i go to another page and back, the problem is back.

At this point, I will just detach the problematic instances 😂 that will solve the text label component.

Thanks for the quick fix, but it feels more like a temporary solution. If you need us to look into it further, feel free to file a bug report here: Submit a bug report!
